Default What is General line mean?

I am a student in truck driver training school(still got that new smel)anyways i am filling out applications for different companies and on the app under solo drivers it has three choices:General Line,Dedicated and Local.I know what the last two mean but what is general line?

general line seems to mean ...."general freight"........anything they can haul, hazmats, food, whatever.......going to a "general" base of customers, no one specific.

dedicated, is just that, dedicated to a customer base.

local is just that, local deliveries or at least a possible over-nighter if need be.


and by the way, that "new smell" fades away fast......!!!

yes......yes it will


seems like the only "smells" that last long are:

when you get 5th wheel grease on you or your clothes

and when your butt is all sweaty and you fart.....man.....that smell gets into the drivers seat.....and lingers.......!!!!





God....sometimes i crack myself up way too much........

I generally lift a leg and then utilize the added air line I have attached to the Seat air to ventilate the smell. Rolling a window open helps as well unless one prefers ones aroma.

God....sometimes i crack myself up way too much........
