Default Truck Stop Guides

What Truck Stop Guides do you use and how do you like it?

I use the pocket truck stop guide and love it, it is real easy to read and find truck stops because everything is listed by State/ Interstate exit numbers.

I haven't bothered with "The next exit" because there seems to be a lot of useless information in there that I don't need and it seems to be geared more for cars and rv's than trucks.

I use the one with the Blue cover, "The Truckers Friend" and love it they put out a new one each year and gives you all the info you need. Everything from size of lot to mechanical services and everything in between. I been using this book for years.

I use the Trucker's Friend when I'm planning a trip, but use the pocket guide for the most part when I'm on the road. The pocket guide is nice, but doesn't list smaller truck stops a lot of times. Our company gives us the Trucker's Friend every year so I've always got one.

I used the Trucker's Friend when I was on the road, but I also used The National Trucker's Service Directory. (C.R. Book Company, Joplin, MO. 479-795-0480 or828-238-9612)

It's easier to read, and has truckstops arranged by exit number rather than the town. It's like using the Pocket Guide, except that it has all the truckstops instead of just some.

Never hurts to have the Pocket Guide as well. You might find what you need real fast in there.

"The Next Exit" is put otu by the same publishers as Trucker's Friend, and is not intended for truckers. OTR truckers don't have time to go see the sights and such.
