Default Stevens Transport

Anyone have any info on Stevens? How they are to work for or anything?
I know they have nice trucks.

I knew a guy that worked for them long enough to gain experience and work for Roadway. Don't expect to get rich. I believe they are paying in the low 30 cent range. They have a cdl training program. Its your typical newbie company. I've never heard anything real good or bad. Recently I noticed they have cut the speed back pretty slow. I pass them in a 62mph truck.

I got my training from Steven's their program was excellent. They taught you how to drag a trailor not pass a test. I can't say too many nice things about going solo I would be out in Cali for 2 days waiting on produce to cool down from different shippers and tyhen move the trailor 250 miles so a team could drag it east. Very rarely had a 3000 mile week. Also it was very difficult to get home.

I applied to be a Trainer for Stevens and they never got back to me. I guess they weren't hiring in my area (Denver).

Sometimes companies get busy and they might put call backs on the back burner or even forget.
Best bet to get a final answer is to call for an update. That way you know where you stand and can continue to market yourself if needed.

I've not heard anything about Stevens Transport other than the usual hype about "Don't go there", yet rarely a reason why.
Personally I don't care for the KW T-2000 Model Trucks they use but then I prefer to not pull a Reefer.
A job driving is a driving job and experience gained is gained experience.
If this is what you seek then by all means pursue it!!
There should be a non related to any trucking company forum in the list of trucking companies here at TB. You may discover more answers or other info like Phone Numbers, etc.

I hope the best in your endeavors!!
