Default Valium and drug screens.

I just got popped for a random drug screen.
My wife takes valium (a tranquilizer) and I occasionally borrow
one from her from time to time to help me sleep.
I usually take one about twice a month or so.
I took one about a week before my random.
How long does this stay in your system and do they look for
this on your test or mainly contraband??
Any feedback welcome.

I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV

Valium stays in your body for a pretty long time.. but its different for everyone and it depends on your age..its metabolized in to an active metabolite..
half life for valium is about 50 hours and roughly 75 hours for the active metabolite..so..you could figure how long valium would stay in your body like this..it takes about 5 half lives to be out of the body..multiply 5 by your age..and that will be the amount of hours it will take to out of your body..
I know that was kind of confusing but I hope it helps

I think your screwed

Time for you to go see the doctor for a prescription. Or if thisa drug is banned for drivers, the you may need another rather than helping yourself to the wifes' drugs.

Valium and the like is highly addictive, and should be avoided unless absolutely necessary, and no other drug will work.

That is too bad. Hopefully, the metabolites are out of his system.

On a similar note, I went in to the office yesterday to attend an O,H &S meeting. It was cancelled, but no one had been notified.

I was notified that I "was on the list" for the DNA testing. I told the tester that I would not be able to produce a sample as I had drained the bladder in anticipation of the meeting.

I was told that this was fine, and since I was a member of the committee, with 21 years of service, I can take care of it any time before the end of the month.

Don't you wish that they were all so accommodating?
