Default Teaming?

My neighbor and I want to become team drivers but we really don't know where to start. We're looking to stay out for 20+ days at a time with around a week off with as much pay as possible while keeping the wheels rolling 24/7.. D&H both ends would be nice but doubtful it will happen truck doesn't matter as long as it's not crappy truck.. He has 14 months experience and I have 20 months.. Any info is appreciated.. Be safe.

Team driving isn't for everyone. Unless the drivers are similar in likes and dislikes, it can be difficult. Personally I tried it and its not for me.

Well me and him are like brothers.. we've known each other for 18 years and we lived together and worked together in the FEMA relief in louisiana for 8 months.. 24/7 being around each other.. Plus he was my trainer for 6 weeks at the company he currently works for.. We can put up with each other we just got to find the company to make the money

Well, that's a whole nother story, then. You should make a great team.

Best of luck out there!

Default Team driving

I might start as a newbie with US Xpress, where newbies MUST team up for 6 months. It would drive me nuts to try to sleep when the guy driving is blaring the stereo, CB, etc.

How do you folks deal with situatuions like that? Thanks.

You might try Old Dominion. I have a friend whose husband teams for them and he makes a LOT of money and is home every weekend. He's on a dedicated run from TN to CA weekly. He's also new; he had no experience when they hired him, other than having completed a driving school. He's been at it a year now and made $75k last year. Pretty impressive for a noob.
