Failures mean our country's monetary system goes down the tubes. Our money becomes worthless and you can have a million dollars and still be poor. Not cool.

There needs to be a comprehensive overhaul of lending policies to prevent future failures. The banks got themselves into this mess, but can't get out of it by themselves. The only way they could would be by demanding full payment of outstanding debts. How would you like to receive a letter demanding payment in full of your mortgage or you'll lose your house? Because THAT'S how the banks can get out of it without government bailouts. Still oppose the bailouts?

I told the wife today that I no longer fear starting our pizza resturaunt, if we fail due to greed, (not using our profits wisely), or poor business decisions, I can call my elected gov. official and have him bail me out. Right? I'm an American and as important as all those companies right? Yes I know that its different, they get to screw up and the tax payers bail them out whether we want to or not, if we don't our dollar will go kaput, yada, yada, yada. I say get the money from the executives that made the poor decisions, with all that they have there should be more than enough money to pull them out of this, instead we the taxpayers will do it, I bet the execs. won't even miss a paycheck while all this is going on, they are failing but I bet they are still getting paid. How agravating is that!
