"you know the big word is closed and the little word is open"

Back in the old days, I'd say a "Souper-Trooper" was messing with your head.

Who knows anymore in the age of the "Internets" ?

This is one of the reasons *not* to use a CB these days, unless it with someone you are running with.

i don't and haven't used "c.b. lingo" anymore...

i use REAL words to say what's going on...

if the scalehouse is open, i simply say "its open"

if the scalehouse is closed, i simply say "its closed"

and so on and so forth......

and also beyond this, i rarely talk to anyone else out there but another company employee i might be running with.

i don't really want to hear anyone else's opinions or problems.

When I ran the road with some co-workers, we used side band channels.
It made for a more peaceful atmosphere. (No echo, who is the loudest, who talks the farthest, who has the most problems,who is the nastiest etc.)
I did my occasional channel 19 listen.

Much anymore, no one knows what BLOOMER PUDDING is/was.
The cb USED TO BE FUN but has degenerated into pointless whining and challenges.
I used to like listening to the queers discussing their adventures however these conversations could very well have simply been people like me that enjoyed as a means towards an end: ENJOYMENT OF HUMOR!!

The BIG WORD is out and the Nymphs are dancing on the Scale!!
