| | Hrm, several companies which to choose ? :)
I decided not to team with my neighbor since he's not putting forth any kind of effort.. And I've been contacted by these companies about a job and I was wondering which would be the better one in the long term? I have 20 months experience OTR and i'm not wanting to run the North Eastern part of the US.. I can handle Midwest, east, southern states and western states no problem.. Anyway here's a list..
Melton
Maverick
Jim Palmer
US Xpress
Southern Refrigerated Trans
Averitt
JB Hunt
CRST Malone
CRST Van Expedited
Covenant
Shaffer
Star Trans (Nashville TN)
deBoer
USF Glen Moore
Howell
FFE
Empire Express
Universal Am-Can
Tankstar
Landstar
Chizek
LCT
Celadon
USA Truck
I know that's a lot of companies to choose from but I don't want to get stuck with a another company like Star Transport (Morton IL)
I don't care about home time, all i care about is that $$$.. Pilot fueling, ability to hook up invertors and all that good stuff that we take for granted..

Look into USF Glen Moore. You might just be a Teamster before you know it! They are trying to organize so if that appeals to you check it out. |

You don't wanna run the Northeast ???? If in 20 months you haven't been to the Northeast ,I'd say stay where you are at!

Unless you plan on running regional only, sooner or later you will deliver in the North East.

I'm truly not trying to be critical here ,please don't take this the wrong way .I know the northeast can be a pain in the @ss .But I think that you need to get that (not running the N.E.)out of your sytem. There's real money running up there, running the 5 boroughs of NYC,Boston,up into Maine. If your not afraid to run anywhere,or take any run, you will always have a Job! Some companies will say they don't run NYC, but then will run you into some rat hole warehouse in Jersey City or Elizabeth, NJ....Believe me I think I'd rather run to Brooklyn or the Bronx....................Of course now I'm local and deliver animal bedding to local dairy farms here in central PA....HEHEHE Good Luck Driver !

I do it every week. And Elizabeth, NJ is not a rat hole, it's a (edit)hole . I'm down there EVERY Tuesday. And I'll be in your area tuesday afternoon(again, every week) | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
