Default Transmissions

Whats better, a straight ten or electronic shift???
The reason I'm asking is I'm hoping to get on at Maverick and they have both.If they give me a choice I want to pick the best one.

When you say straight ten,do you mean a 10 speed roadranger? If so id take the ten but it depends on if you have the driving experience or not.

I'm not sure what they mean, it just says they have straight 10 speeds and electronic shifts. I drive a 10 speed now. What a ***** to learn in. I grinded so many gears when I was learning on it it was pathetic but now I have no problems.

Default 10 speed

Hi there Buddy
Go for the manual shift 10spd, there's nothing like stirring your own porridge I have driven a couple of auto shifts & after 40 yrs driving you can shove the auto shift where the sun don't shine.
Just the opinion of an old fella down under.

Cheers Ray

To hell with the autoshifts. Those things are electronically controlled and break down often. Anyone can learn to shift a ten-speed manual transmission. You don't even deal with a splitter like you do with a 13 or 18 speed.

Default Man after my owjn heart

You got it, I love the 18 spd best, I got broken in on an old round the corner R/R something the young fellas wouldn't know about, must admit I would have worn a bit of steel off a few cogs in my day

Cheers Ray
