Default I think I have a job

I talked to a recruiter today at PGT. I filled the app. out online a few days ago. The recruiter said everything looks good and as soon as I faxed her a copy of my DOT card she would call me Mon. and I could turn in my notice where I'm working now. I faxed it tonight when I got back from Charlotte but she won't be there till Mon.
Now, has anyone heard good or bad things about them?
All there benefits and bonuses look great. They say they pay 100% of all costs associated with Idle Air. Not sure if its already installed or if you have to have it done. Can someone tell me how it works??? I went to there website and it looks like you have to carry around a big yellow hose.
Anyway,I need to make a choice between them and Maverick. Maverick starts at .40cpm. PGT starts at 25% of the load.
What do y'all think?

IdleAire:
The ONLY 2 things you need to carry are: the window bit and possibly the keyboard. If the Basic service has been purchased which most Companies do because of cost, you ONLY need carry the Window piece that the unit attaches to as the keyboard is additional and if you want it YOU BUY IT.
The "big yellow hose" is part of the stationary device and stays with the units at their locations.
If People were needing to carry these large hoses around, there would be a lot of hoses missing or damaged.

$.40cpm vs. 25% of load pay=hmmm.
I believe I would take the $.40cpm., because load rates vary waayyy too much.
I've done the % gig and it ain't all that great however there are Drivers that will say otherwise.
If it's an option that can be reversed then try the % first. If only a choice is offered then take the cpm.

Just remember to stay in contact with your Dispatcher or Driver Manager but don't annoy or pester.
BE ON TIME and KEEP THE SHINEY SIDE UP!!

My post consisted of obviously NOT paying attention regarding the DIFFERENCE Company pay scales, oh well.

That $.04 fuel bonus is obviously only if you're using the Company sponsored IdleAire deal OR if you don't mind frying and freezing, unless those Trucks are equipped with APUs.
Limiting ones O. O. R. miles helps attain the fuel bonus as well.

Talk to some current Drivers for these Companies to discover whether the fuel bonus is even worth the effort.

Maverick has the possible "fry and freeze" incentive.

Bulldog Hiway xpress in late '99 had the fuel bonus "offer" as well and only did I meet ONE PERSON that tried it for a year and received the enormous payoff of $280.00 or so. He never again received a fuel bonus.

PGT has the other option.

Go with whichever you feel comfortable.
Even though IdleAire kind of sux, it IS BETTER than not having any heating or cooling or being harassed about Idling for Health.
