I was bummed when I found out Garmin USED to make it with commercial routing (though not perfect), but as their customer support said they stoped doing it and they get requests for it. I had the garmin IV and now I have the garmin nuvi (under $180 from wally world) and it works just fine for most uses.

Garmin Nuvi 350 has a "Truck" option under "Type of Vehicle". It is designed to keep you on main roads but is not always 100% perfect. I downloaded a lot of add-ons from POI-Factory(for free) to make it more "Truck Friendly".

Save your time and money and avoid the CoPilot Truck program. I evaluated it for my company and it was no better than any other GPS program. It would try to route you on truck routes, but didn't always manage it and if you got off a designated route it would do anything to get you back to it, including routing you down alleys and through cemeteries.

It also attempted to route me down Lake Street in Chicago, which people can tell you is a no-no in a big truck.
