if i am at a truckstop, i shower, shave, then get a meal.......
then i'll "maybe" watch a movie or some tv in the drivers lounge. i try NOT to have too many if any conversations with other truckers, because most times, it turns out to be a "crying game" and they think i'm there to shoulder there cry-baby thoughts.
when i'm pretty much done with being inside the truck stop, i got to my truck and read a newspaper i just bought, or a magazine or two. i'll watch a little tv, maybe make a phone call or two, then off to bed.........
in the morning, or whenever my waking time is, i go inside, shave again, have my meal, then off and running i go.........
i learned MANY years ago, that if you stay inside the truck stop for too long, some idiot trucker will THINK i want to talk with him and hear about HIS crappy day.............uh, no.....thanks, i have MY OWN crappy day, and i don't need to add someone elses's day into my fray of life.
that's all when i run the road, which isn't much more these days than it was years ago.
now my days are, i am home everyday, so i do things differently here........obviously, there are NO trucker's at MY HOUSE, so i can actually ENJOY my hometime.........quiet, peaceful, and NO CRY BABBIES...!!
except of course, for those that are HERE ON THESE BOARDS.......!!!!!
