Got a letter from Falcon yesterday wanting me to call and get set up for orientation because I had been pre-approved. I called the recruiter to ask a few questions. They send you to Gary,Ind. for a week for orientation at $20/day then send you home. They then send you to Sharron,PA to put you with a trainer for 3-4 weeks at $450/wk. After that you go back to Sharron for a week of safety training which is all backing. Then they start you at 22% of load. You have to call your dispatcher on your cell phone and don't reimburse you because its an 800 number. My cell charges per min. whether its 800 number or not.
I think I'll pass.

Seems odd since Falcon has qualcomm in all their trucks. Guess this must be yet another way for them to save money(QC charges by the letter) since the auto and steel industries are slowing with the economy.

Falcon is a big carrier for auto makers and USX.

Falcon=CHEAP

Anyway, stick with PGT or Mavrick. Both would be better in the long run anyways.

can you visit Falcon, PGT Maverick and look over the place

better that way than talking on phone to a recruiter and knuckleheads on the internet
