I'm going to Maverick

Well I got accepted to Maverick today. I leave Friday on a long bus ride to Little Rock and start orientation Sunday at 7:30AM.
I have a week of orientation followed by a week of securement training then I go OTR for a week then I'm home.
You may not see me on here for awhile after Friday but I'll be back.
Thank you to everyone for the good advice and information you've given me.

Oh my god I can't believe you are going on a bus don't you realize you will have to see & be around all those filthy disgusting other type people, & you can't say you haven't been warned.
I mean hell man that other what ever you wish to call him/it has told you what it's like.
But enough of all that carry on, may I wish you the best of luck in your new employment & I look forward to seeing you back on the TB soon, so please be careful out there cos the roads are full of nutters.

They did say if I found other transportation they would reimburse me up to the price of the bus ticket.

i STRONGLY suggest you go out right now and by "hand-sanitizer", "potty covers" and whatever else you need to keep all those germs away from you........

"up to the price of a bus ticket"....??

that'll probably be about $100 and no more if you found other transportation..........

so if you "fly" down there, think about $400 and up.

a mere "up to" $100 isn't enough.........

may i also extend my heartfelt best wishes for a safe journey and a great experience both on the bus and at orientation...............i wish i could go with you (nope, just being polite), but you do get my drift about my best wishes...........

Good luck at Maverick, I hear they are a descent outfit. As far as the travel to The Rock, rent a car!!!!

after "about" the 3rd tank of gas.....any re-imbursements would have been used up..........he's got LONG WAY TO DRIVE.........

he's going by greyhound (or whomever).........
