Can't they just fix it and print you up a new license? Or is the issue, you need the correct permit to drive with your instructor in the Maryland area? If so, you might have to wait before going out with your instructor, I'd try to get if fixed ASAP with Maryland...
When I went to CDL school, I already had my CDL Permit w/ endorsements for well over a year prior. When I got to school, they told me the State had given me a license that is issued to Firefighters to operate their equipment, luckily I had time to get it corrected before finishing school and doing my roadtest

well it seems that i cant drive out of maryland, the instructor said they will be driving in PA etc.. but i just wont drive in PA. When we get back into MD i will then take my turn at driving.. The school really dont matter, i am just worried about finding a job driving a tractor trailer that will hire me.. I think most tractor trailers go out of state etc.. I cant see driving a tractor trailer from hagerstown Md to Baltimore Md 12 times a day just to get some miles.. They could even pay me .40 cent a mile and i would get a lousy check,, I need a hourly job or a miracle.. I am going to look into maybe getting a federal waiver and see what they say... It dont make no sense to me,, I am able to drive a truck here but no where else ???
thanks for the reply again..
i will keep you informed.

Once you get your actual CDL you wont be restricted anymore.I'm guessing that is just your permit.

ryan | why would they put the restriction on in the first place, like the other guy said it could just be there because you have a permit or you can not drive interstate if you are under the age of 21. Under 21 is strictly intrastate. I would go down to the motor vec. agency and ask for clarifacation on this from them. You do have the right to know ! |

Hello
it all started when i had to take dot physical.. i passed all except VISION test.. I have a lazy eye which is my left eye,, I can read anything with right.. Left eye is not so good.. Went to eye doctor and all had a vision test new glasses and they cant improve them anymore they say.. I have the 70 degress of vision etc and can tell difference between red yellow and green.. I have to have a vision waiver to be able to get CDL.. I just dont understand what the hell is the difference from a red light, road or anything in another state...
well i will keep you updated as the soap opra continues..
