PA CDL license *beware*

I just found out I no longer have a CDL,and have no idea when I lost it.
PA drivers ensure your license does state clearly on the front "CDL". Otherwise you possess basicly a class C over 26000#.

I grandfathered in when the CDL came about and now may have to go through the whole process.

What for class I have doesn't make any sense, but they sure took the extra money for the CDL endorsement.

I feel sorrow fro you my friend I had a similar experience down here in NZ, I had all classes of license & because I forgot to have a medical cert I lost my passenger bus endorsement, if I want to renew I have to have a police check $200, Doctors report more money, hey I am 62 yrs old I don't want to drive buses anymore it's just bloody revenue gathering, legalized theft.

stupid mistakes are done on a regular basis at ANY DMV.....

they switch from one license "frame" to another each time a driver renews thier license, then take the snap shot of you. they then are SUPPOSED TO READ the next customer, and insert the correct frame for the NEXT photo..........

i did have this happen to me BEFORE the CDL took effect. i had just gotten my (what was called a chaufer's license) back then to drive class 8 trucks.......

the young gal put a "regular drivers license" frame into the camera.....i said....whoa......i got a truck drivers (chaufers license) now, please use that frame......!!!

she saw her mistake..............

whew.........i could have been a "regular licensed" driver, hadn't i not picked up on that mistake right away.....
