Refused drug test.help

Me and my husband quit on a monday night with the co we worked for. When we tried to get another job it was on our dac report that we refused drug test. How do we get this off and what co will hire us with this on their. Can anyone help. THEY GAVE US 3 LOADS OVER THE WEEKEND THEN CANCELED THEM. OUR LOAD ON MONDAY NIGHT WAS ALSO CANCELED WE WERE JUST FEED UP WITH THE CO. WHEN I FOUND OUT THE REFUSED A DRUG TEST WAS ON OUR DAC REPORT I CALLED SAFETY AT THE CO WE WORKED FOR. THEY SAID WE WERE SCHEDULED FOR A TEST AND WE DIDNT SHOW. WE DIDNT NO ABOUT IT BECAUSE WE QUIT.

well the questions come as to why did you quit..??

did you quit "JUST BEFORE" you were called in for a random....?? if so, THAT CAN BE miscontrued as a refusal...

were you available for a random...?? or were you "out of time, and passed the time limit the company set for it"...???

you really got to be VERY specific as to why you quit, and under WHAT circumstances...........

then, more info can be given....but right now...that refusal will stick like flies to "you know what"....

it's strange that both of you were scheduled for a "random" drug test at the same time
you were in contact with dispatch because you knew your loads were being cancelled
yet you did not know about the test
did you have a quaalcom?
I would call the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin and tell them your story
maybe they are in some kind of violation with administering a random drug test
there's gotta be more to this story

another strange thing is all of a sudden you have no assigned loads
perhaps friday was your test
but if what you say is true

then what stops an employer from using a drug test to fire someone eg
your random comes up but they don't tell you

Thats what it sounds like to me, lack of comunication, maybe the qualcom message got deleted or they just didn't say anything. Its unfortunate if thats the case.

1) Unknown. Possibly contact a Trucking Attorney.
2) Most likely NONE. Refusal of a Drug Test is akin to wrecking or abandoning a Truck and carries severe associations.

How long had you two worked there?

When I found out the refused a drug test was on our DAC report, I called Safety at the Co. at which we worked. They said we were scheduled for a test and we didn't show. We didn't know about it because we quit.

The Drug Test(s) may have been scheduled AFTER the trips were offered/cancelled. If the trips were offered and accepted or refused by you, THEN cancelled, the Drug Test(s) may have been a determining factor in your continuation at that Company.

EVERY STORY has 2 sides and we here are only reading one of the two. It is therefore not possible to find a conclusion, only a supposition.
