Rumor runs Rampid

I was talking to a friend from another barn .Told me about a
"new" stop today.The shipper said yeah we hear yrc filed
for bankruptcy protection this morning so we are gonna start using you guys.
I know IT'S NOT TRUE.But with all the bad publicity YRCW
is receiving un-educated shippers are jumping the gun.
Sorry to say your bad is our good.

then why perpetuate (to preserve from extinction or oblivion) the rumors...??

this makes YOU NO BETTER than the person starting the rumors....

best to have said, "i didn't hear anything"......

cuz the next rumor will be, YOUR company is filing bankruptcy.........

i DO NOT work for Yellow, but to have also said, "Sorry to say your bad is our good"....is rubbing thier nose into a false rumor....

they (Yellow drivers and such) can be having the last laugh on YOUR company and YOU, in the future......

I'm NOT suggesting anything negative to the Author of this thread nor am I implying/inferring sarcasm as to the character of the Author. I am merely pointing out a spelling error and posing a question regarding the wording of the Title.

The Title (can) better reflect "stories" when it is spelled as Rumors Run Rampant (or Rabid Rumors Run).
Some rumors have merit or substance, where other rumors do not.
What does Rampid mean??

What's the proper response a driver tells a shipper
Sorry xyz company Yellow is doing great.Therefore I refuse to accept your freight to better the company I work for.And I demand you call back the Yellow and give them back this account.
More importantly what should I tell my company.

we gave up freight because the shipper was wrongly informed that yrcw had filed ch 11
My post was to inform of a story I was told.Maybe yrcw's that read this will better inform their customers who are scared.
