Recently looked into the vanlines. I am new to Class A, but not to CDL. IS the vanlines a good start?

are you talking about "moving vans".......furniture movers...????

if so......

i hope you got a strong back................

but, ANY trucking job right now is a good start..........

It was at one time. That is how I got my start ten years ago. They even trained me and got me my CDL-A. I would say that now may not be a good time. Winter is VERY slow in moving industry. Also, with the way the housing market is going right now, not to many people are moving that don't have to. Best thing to do is check out the local moving agents in your area(ALLIED, United, Mayflower) and see who needs drivers and if they need you full-time or on-call only.

And PRO1DRIVER hit the nail on the head. You need a strong back for that job. I was 23 when I started.
