Default I slept in my truck yesterday

Sleeping in a truck is brutal. I had to take a layover in Chicopee, Mass. I get paid for a layover but it started at 1500 and ended at 1am
In order to get paid I cannot leave the point where I run out of hrs so I had to sleep at the customer
My guess instead of 8 hrs sleep I got about 50 ten minute naps
I got up at 1am and felt like crap
Then drove 5 hours feeling like crap
I hate sleeping in a truck

OOOOH< Jeeeeez GFC your braking my heart how dreadful it must be to have to sleep in such a tiny space, tell you what mate come out here & try & sleep in a Japanese cab over I am 6 ft & around 285 lb & had to sleep in a bunk made for a LIL Nippon around 5 ft 5 in & 80lb, because of length restrictions out here there is not alot of decent sleeper cabs NZ.
You guys have 5 star accommodation in comparison.

I suggest that If you cannot sleep good in a sleeper, Go look for a day job or a meet and turn, dedicated, dump truck, construction, P@d local delivery's or like me a one night out and back home the next day 2 times one week and 3 out and 3 back the next, plus weekends off. I too have trouble sleeping good. Too much noise at the truck stops, unpredictable sleep patterns, and on and on. Or better yet try another profession, I will eventually. We as truck drivers are way under paid for one of the most dangerous occupations, a very high divorce rate, and not to say eating the wrong foods, ( which leads to most of us getting fat) especially not enough (home time) time to be with your family.

Strange as it sounds, I actually get a better sleep in my bunk than at home.

I sleep as good in the sleeper as I do at home, unless I park beside some idiot that don' know how to turn the engine off when the temp. is a pleasant 55 degree or get next to some stinking, noisy apu.
