Old Man Emu is on a distinguished road
Default Alternative routes

Greetings all. I am a OTR driver and have always thought it would be great to be able to find viable alternative routes than the interstates. I

When you look up routes in your trustly atlas all they show is a colored line across the page. They don't really tell you what he road is like. Does it have any big pulls on it? or lots of small towns with stop lights and greedy cops.

So what i've done is to create a web site that is totally free in which you can search for different roads state by state. If the road you want, say US6 in Utah between I70 and I15 any info on the road will show up. All the info is provided by drivers posting their experinces.

Along with alternative routes, you can post good or bad eating spots, places findings on it. So far I've put some of my findings on it, but I need help from all you guys and gals out thto park, repairs shops even NASCAR tracks and where to park your rig to watch the race.

Once this gets up and running, I think it will be a good tool to help us all save money and time, by getting real info on things provided by us, the guys out there and not from suits in marketing or advertising.

The address is Alternative Route USA. Hope to meet you all there.

I think once the site takes off and gets more users, it should be very informative and interesting.

Get the word out about it.

I'll see what can come with for the "Pittsburgh" section, but Pittsburgh is a difficult city to navigate in a big truck.

This is a pretty good idea. When this site takes off I would imagine it would be great for avoiding construction.
