| | That is very interesting, the hours of service thing will be something to see, I have always been for anything that makes it easier for workers to unionize, not that everyone needs it, for instance at PFG, I really don't think it would hurt us or benefit us, our employer knows how to treat us, most of us are extremely happy with the way things are. I can see how some people really want or need this, if nothing else the threat will be increased and maybe it will force employers to follow through with seniority rules, and maybe re-think their contribution amounts for insurance. I think nothing but good can come from it. |

I could be wrong but pendulum just might be starting to swing the way of the employee, especially if card check goes through, not that everyone will go union, but it will be much easier, the employer will be forced to recognize that, maybe the, if you don't like it there is the door mindset will be a little less common. I understand that I work for them, and must follow their rules, I have no problem with that, but as I have a responsibility to them, they also have one to me, after all I put my ability to survive in their hands, at least for the time being, if I am giving 100% and doing my very best to represent the company and secure more business, I should be valued and treated with respect. Where I am i feel that I have all those things, but there are others that don't.
ryerke, only the "how come" was meant for you, the rest was just me going on, I don't want you to think I'm preaching to you because I'm not, I just like to rattle sometimes, I burned my whole weekend asleep, so now I'm up and have nothing to do but type...LOL.
I am interested in your story though, if you want to share. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
