hi all! just wanted to say my friend is tryin to get me in with con way trucking for thier apprenticeship. I'm a carpenter who isnt goin anywhere in the trade. So im doing a career change. I never drived stickshift. so i know thats goin to be a problem. i am kinda nervous cuz i'll be new to driving semi trucks and i dont want to hurt or kill anyone including me. everybody tells me thats just my nerves. My dad is a driver goin on to 14 yrs. Thought i follow on to his footsteps. my friend says i'll be driving doubles! I'm nervous to drive a single. doubles is gonna freak me out lol. My dad said he never done doubles and they wouldn't be puttin me on doubles due to lack of expierience. Anybody have any advice? Do truckers go to jail for accidents? even thought they drove legally?
