Default DAK help

six years ago a wind gust blew over the tractor-trailer I was driving for CR England while in IL. The Il trooper listed the accident as non-preventable stating "an unexpected wind gust in excess of 50 mph" as the reason for the rollover.
England listed it as a preventable rollover which is stopping me from driving a truck. What can I do to have this changed, anyone know?
Thanks in advance

a couple of things you can do.....

1) wait for a total of 7 years for the date of the accident........the file will be closed on you.

................OR........................

2), you will have to rebuttle that claim from England. you need to contact DAC/USIS, i will provide a link for you near the bottom. then you might want to have several photo copies of the police report ready to pass out every time you apply for a job. that police report, "might" save you, but one never really knows till its time to apply for a job........

the DAC/USIS website is: USIS | The Nation's Leading Security and Information Services Provider

then scroll down to the bottom, click onto the "consumers" link..........

now what you need to do, is apply for a free copy of your DAC report. you CAN get a free copy, provided you haven't gotten one this year yet........if you did, then you will have to pay the fee, i think "about" $10......

now, to get a copy, free or paid, you MUST get a photo copy of your drivers license, AND your social security card.........then, you print out the form from thier website, following the "consumers" link...........

after you recieve your copy, READ IT 100% from top to bottom..........

then if the information regarding the accident shows up as you say, a "preventable", now you have to go back to the DAC/USIS website again, and now download the "dispute" form......same things needed here are copy of your drivers licens AND social security card..........

mail that in.........in about 2-3 weeks, you will get yet another copy of your DAC/USIS with your dispute (rebuttle) comments..........

this is HOW TO get something added to your DAC/USIS for your dispute..........

good luck, let us know how you do........just come back to THIS thread and bring it back up again.......

now, there is a 3rd thing you can TRY...............

call England..........speak with someone in the safety dept........GET NAMES, TIMES, DATES, ETC,ETC.......

tell these people of the police report, you have ( i hope you still have a copy) and how THE POLICE DID NOT find you guilty of a wind blowing you over.........

every job you apply for, you will have to IN DETAIL explain this accident..........maybe type up a nice, clean, neat letter of explaination, make several copies, and ALONG with the police report, add these to your applications each time.............

the more a paper trail you leave, the better your chances...........
