Experienced Drivers! You know the typical questions us newbies have been asking in this section, I thought it may be great if all of you seasoned drivers add one or two thoughts/opinions/warnings for us who are wanting to be truckers. Thanks.

There used to be a bunch of sticky posts that answered these very questions. I will look through the history and see what I can dig up. No sense repeating information already offered...

Ok heres what I found;

don't be afraid to try other stuff first
it doesn't even matter if you fail miserably
at other ventures
remember
you can always be a truck driver

i too try not to recommend getting into truck driving.......its a different lifestyle in which some cannot adapt to.......

then there are those that claim they CAN ADAPT, only to fail at doing so, and leave with a grudge against the profession..........

its a lifestyle you just got to fall into, with no, "if's, and's or but's".............

i too would suggest you try a different (read) HIGHER paying, less stressful occupation, that isn't so regualted by the feds...........

All you ever wanted to do?
No problem
You can be a truck driver.
It is a very attainable goal
as opposed to always wanting to be a jet pilot
If you always wanted to own a truck
also attainable.
If you always wanted to get your own authority also attainable
for someone who knows what they want to do.
