Default Quality Carriers

Anyone here work for Quality Carriers as an o/o? What do you think about the new FS stabilization, affiliate terminals only being able to call affiliate terminals for backhauls, how sloe it is right now???Why is the turn over rate suppossedly lower with them? I dont see how they are anybetter if not worse than some others.

rollinoilcan, I'm not qualified to answer but I'll tell you my observations. They are advertising like crazy and that's a red flag in today's economy. Something is causing turnover. Also, a guy I used to work with signed on with them and is looking to leave after being there just a few months. I don't talk to him directly so I can't ask him any questions for you.

Hopefully someone will come along and help you that knows more than I.

i work for REX and they QC had a trminal across the street from us in VA and they were O/O and company drivers. I believe the terminal is a drop lot for the O/O's now as the company drivers side went out of business. They were Teamsters and I think the one of the biggest issues were that they were having problems getting backhauls to the east coast or weren't getting mileage if they deadheaded back east. Again this was what I heard don't know the facts.

Well... I am an owner operator, but I can tell you this,I am leaving next week.If i work over the road it is very hard to find back hauls. Most loads are in the mid west area. I sit for 2-4 days in a truck stop waiting for dispatch to find a load out of the area that I just dropped in. I work for an affiliate terminal and Quality just made it even harder by not allowing affiliate terminals to call company terminals for backhauls. The latest otr load I was out 13 days on the road and i sat for 6, making $0 a day, so I started running local, but it is a struggle to make any money. Company is totally diffrent that being an owner operator. I just dont know if you can get the mileage with Quality or not. Good Luck
