anyone on here know some info about BP shutting down their fleet and going to contractors?

i used to know a few drivers out of forest view but lost touch with them over the past 2 years.

anyone on here work out of o'hare or forest view?

A guy I work with ,--had an interview( I think) with the guys in Bensenville.
He told me that BP was getting rid of all drivers and the individual stations have to align thier own drivers and deliveries. Not sure if it's true but that is the rumor

I heard it was BP and ExxonMobil phasing out their transportation ops. I cant seem to find any articles about it..

i tried finding articles also, no luck.

doesnt make sense to me why they would shut down their own transportation fleet, does this save the company money? or actually make the company money?

what is the union doing about this?

shell did it so bp and mobil are following i guess

its a shame, alot of good guys losing a good union job....

I worked for BP Lubricants, the business unit that I worked for is gone. Twenty six years down the drain, they do give a nice severance package though. BP is a good company to work for.
