Default Ive been thinking of doing tanker but dont know what type

Ive been looking at pulling a tanker but dont know what kind to do. Theres always fuel companies hiring. What kind can you make good money at? what ones are safer? Ive always wanted to pull milk tanker but non of those companies ever hire.

Thanks
Josh

Josh;

I can't tell you which tank companies are hiring in the United states. Nor can I comment on the wages there.

I do haul fuel year round for my employer, and my earnings are in 6 figures. I am a company driver, not a lease operator.

Like all transport companies, the safety aspect is up to you. You will learn that tankers tend to fall over in corners if not slowed down enoughy.

Any product can be dangerous if you mishandle it.

Any type of trailer can cause you problems if you do not understand the dynamics, and drive appropriately.

Both of them are dangerous because milk tankers do not have baffles in the tank. And fuel tankers they are more dangerous when they are empty. But if you are cautious it should not be a problem. Myself i would try the milk tanker because I have pulled everything else.

Cool

well dry bulk we do not have to worry about it moving around like liquid and i think that they are more risk with milk etc. Without baffles in the tank it will have a extra push when stopping for stop signs etc.

All trucks are dangerous and can be rolled over. I would suggest you start with something food grade if you want to pull a liquid tanker. At least then if you do manage to turn over or slam yourself through an intersection you won't be hauling 5000 gallons of something that can really ruin your day.
