Default stories on career change out of trucking

Anybody have success on getting out of trucking, I've been doing this for 15 years right out of the service and am ready to quit after having 5 different jobs in that time.
This last job I thought finally found the one I can hang with now this one is going down the crapper.
Maybe Heavy Equipment operator would work, just dont know.

Right now I wouldn't even consider leaving a job if I didn't have to. The last thing you want right now is to be the bottom guy on the totem pole in a new job. Guess who goes first if your new company starts cutting back?

If you're secure where you are, stick with it a little longer. That would be my advice right now.

Have to agree, the next couple of years are going to be tough ones in any industry,I believe it's going to be at least that long before the economy gets turned around.

Can't say that it's been that bad for me , but i'm on flat bed. Drive past some of the trucking co.s and see a lot of there trucks just sitting there in the yard. The line ups at the shipper/recievers arn't as long , usually in and out fairly quickly lately.
