We all know some folks got way to much time on their hands.
heres another do gooder group back stiring the hours of service pot.
In my opinion,the government should of left this issue the way it was in the first place.

But I got to like this statement.

Claybrook said Thursday in an interview on Sirius Satellite Radio's "The Lockridge Report" that it is likely Public Citizen will file suit against the government over the final rule if this petition is not granted. When asked what she would like to see in hours of service rules for truckers, Claybrook said an eight-hour daily limit, with truckers being paid overtime when they go beyond that.

that will never happen the companys will never allow it my company don't pay there hourly drivers overtime until they hit 60 hours and they never see that also public citizen has said several times that they will keep sueing untill they get black boxes in every truck a 8 hour day max with 12 hour off and a 48 to 60 hour restart with no option of using the old 8 day recap

Boy I feel so safe with all the Wackos worring about me.Rolling Sweatshops they must be talking about the LTL Freight trucks cause mine has AC.These Wackos have never drove a truck and hopefully never will.I think they should do away with log books just do Equip.checks or better yet make all CO.s keep log books on every one that drives a CO.car And put Black Boxes in them.
