be carefull belly dump drivers

Please be careful ! Im a frieght hauler I do not know a lot about belly dump equipment , but I caught this story on the news, I wanted to relay it . I hope it can help prevent another accident. the driver involved had dumped the load apperentley the trailer had some material stuck and the driver got into the trailer without some safety lock in place, somthing malfunctioned the doors closed on him . his coworkers at the scene got him out but he did not survive, Be Carefull do not cut corners on safety to save time . Our family's need us to be safe at work this man will not get to go home to his very sad , be SAFE .

I always pin up.Before i go in and clean out my trailer.by opening the gates from
in side the cab.And then placing a pin on the highest setting.Some bellys have
chains.instead of pins.

WOW that's scarey tired&hungry.I used to drive belly dump.I may go back to it when construction season starts.I hauled dirt, rocks ,but mainly asphalt.I'll deffinately remember that.
