7 week lay off

The company I drive for has me on temporary lay off until Jan. 12, 2009 and things are looking good. They say things are getting back to the usual "slow" instead of things being "dead" as they are right now.

who do you work for ? are you getting paid at all while on layoff?

I work for this little company that sells most of its product to the very slow RV industry: West and Barker = Custom Plastic Extrusions.

Yes, on the unemployment. Ohio is getting some unemployment money until Jan. 12, 2009 when I'm scheduled to start making runs again. Since it is a temporary lay off with a return date, Ohio has me covered with $399 week. It isn't much but better than most folks get. I am grateful for the few dollars and will be more grateful when I can get back to work...:)
