First of all, are you the slimer that drives for Air-Ride? To your question, i have a Verizon air card for my computer that gives me unlimited access for $60.00/month. As long as i'm in a Verizon area i can get online.

I also have a Verizon air card for $60.00 per month. The spouse and I actually bought 2 identical Dell XPS laptops with integrated ATT air cards direct from the factory. The ART air card did not work that good on my laptop so we did not activate the wifes. Instead she bought the Verizon plan and we compared the 2 systems head to head going cross country for a week. Verizon beat ATT hands down for speed and coverage. I deactivated my ATT account and now we share the Verizon air card.

Before purchasing the air cards I would look for hot spots at hotels or truck stops that I could use for free.

Get a good smart-phone from Sprint. 10 dollars a month for all the internet you want at 3G speeds.

Don't rely on Wi-Fi, go with Cellular Broadband. Wi-FI is expensive and you can't use it if you park someplace other then a truckstop or some other populated private parking lot.

The other plus is that you can use a smartphone as a map or street-finder, particularly if you have a GPS enabled unit.

It will show you exactly where _YOU_ are located, then you punch in the address of your drop or pickup and you have the route all planned out. Fire it up and make your stop.

Simple!
