 transport america is the worst!!!
i worked for transport america for about 1 month let me tell you this company is the biggest joke this side of jb hunt and swift. they treat you like a number ,(which you are when you call in ) and when you call in to your fleet manager they rudely put you on hold for extended periods of time. when they do finally answer they act as if they are to busy to deal with what you have called about.
the planners and fleet managers do their best to make your life miserable especially when your trying to get home i was told i would be home every weekend, well i was for the most part home sat night and leaving sun night or sunday morning. but when i had to have my liscense renewed they went above and beyond their normal vindictive planning to get me home ,they had me home within 3 days.
i DO NOT recomend this company to anyone they tell you all this good stuff at orientation then once you get sarted its all truns to crap.
and another thing the orientation is a joke they put you up in this flea bag motel for 3 days bus you back and forth to the training facility and on the third day they put you in a van or rental car to go get your truck at a service center after you been up since 5 am. they put you on the road that afternoon to get to your truck assignment.
and the service centers are disgusting they have1 maybe 2 showers they smell and are never cleaned on a regular basis.
in closing if your looking for an otr job do your research and dont even look at transport america its not worth the hassle
