It's been shut down for a while. Started off slowly but they finally closed it for good. I can't believe it took them this long. Apparently the trainers were told to go back out on the road or they don't have a job anymore. I wonder how long til they open it back up.

Turnover for them means repaid school loans. I doubt they care about turnover, unless they are looking for more cheap labor.
Hard for me to compare their training program to others. I went to theirs, but don't know what the others have to offer. It was ok I guess. A lot of wasted time, and I was a bit peeved they didn't prepare us for the IL cdl test(since Illinois won't let people transfer their CDL from another state anymore).

probably won't re-open for a long, long time.......

JB Hunt had a "training school" and that shut its doors (i think) over a dozen years ago, and hasn't ever re-opened.

seems like Schnieder is doing what JB did, focusing on what they have now, and improve everything from ground zero.

as was stated in the article, there is NO shortage of drivers. with the economy being the way it is, there are more drivers than most companies know what to do with.
