Default load boards

Are there any good load boards out there? By that, I mean is there one board that has better paying loads. Thats the $64,000 question I suppose. It doesnt hurt to ask.

As long as companies and o/o's keep agreeing to haul for nothing or less than nothing, there wont be any "good" load-boards...

I just recently started checking out load boards. So far I have consistantly found better loads than I'm getting from my carrier. I don't know where hes looking, but it can't be the same boards I've found. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I have one for you. Once you find a load you can live with, you call the broker and hammer out the details, then you fax a contract form to them w/ the info, and they confirm it. What does the form look like? I've searched the web, and found some general purpose agreement forms, but I'd like to get a look at what is actually being used. I could ask my company, but I don't want to tip them off That I've applied for my authority just yet. I'd also like to see an actuall invoice you would send the broker with the BOL's after delivery. Again, I've found a multitude of them online, but like see how one should be filled out. Sorry for being so long winded.

Some load boards are better than others however in light of Freight reduction due to this time of EVERY year as well as the economy, loads aren't as prevalent like previously.
Some load boards ACTUALLY UPDATE what they have posted as available loads however GetLoaded doesn't practice this idea and has had loads posted that were already delivered.
---
As to what the paperwork looks like regarding BROKErs, just a bunch of blank spaces to be filled in as well as signed.
As to what the paperwork looks like that is faxed to BROKErs for load delivery confirmation, the signed BOL is usually faxed.

Best of wellness in your search.

When you get your own authority you need Getloaded(just raised thier rates to 45.00)
Internet Truckstop and the cheapo version of members edge
Each board has some loads you won't see on the other
After a while you will figure out which boards are better according to the lane you want to run.
When things are slow they all have bad freight
When produce/nursery season starts
They all have good paying loads
The getloaded message board archives is probably the most informative about your own authority
Worth a month's subscription btw

I was leased to a Northeast carrier and was on percentage
I saw every rate on every load each week.
The load planners could care less what a backhaul paid
Their job was to get the trailer back to the main shippers
As long as the trailer was loaded they were doing their job
That carrier is still in busness btw

i dunno....i call getloaded.com........get****ed.com not all but mostly cheap *** freight on there. My company just had me haul a load of sugar from arabi,La to somerset,Ky 700 miles for a total carrier pay of 670 dollars. Either they are completely lying to me and ripping me off or are completely crazy for hauling for a total carrier pay of .95 cents a mile! But they keep using this broker...I dont get it?
