Default Best Laptop Computer For Trucking...

Hey all,

Im probably going back on the road again after the holidays and I am wanting to take a laptop pc with me. I would like to know what everyone is using and what brands/models to avoid. I am looking at the $600 - $700 range and I would prefer it to have a built in camera and a PC express slot for a Verizon internet card. I want to avoid the junk that will break or fall apart after a few months.

I use a HP Pavillion dv 6000 paid $600 a year ago. It has been bouncing on the passenger seat with out a problem. I use Verizon wireless broadband connected to a USB port and also use a video camera pluged into a USB port. All work great with no problems.

I'm going on three years with a Toshiba, about $700 new. Cheaper now with more features I'm sure.

Like Cody, I run Verizon broadband and usb camera port.

Here is the Toshiba model that I am seriously looking at. It has great specs, and a built in video cam.

Toshiba Satellite L305-S5909 Laptop Computer - Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.0GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD, DL DVDRW, 15.4" WXGA, Windows Vista Home Premium, Glossy Black PSLB8U-05302F at TigerDirect.com
