Default D.O.T. Medical Waiver

Does anyone know how I go about getting a medical waiver for a physical? It can be either 1 or 2 year physical.

Go to the home page on the website listed above. Scoll to the bottom of the page (about FMCSA). Click on Who to contact for assistance. On the left side of the page at top click on Field Offices. Pick the Field office for the region you live in. That field office will be in charge of your waiver and will be in contact with you the rest of your driving career.

Ok I have been to 2 schools now. RoadMaster &TDTI (Clark State Springfield, Ohio)
And both said they do not think a DAMN inguinal hernia (since birth) would be a problam. And actually I have had replys on here stating the same thing. They said I also have the option of getting a medical waiver for my physical. And that they can send you to see the doc again either in 6 months or a year to be sure it does not pose a risk (that would be companys in stead of a school right?). We have been Registered Nurses since 1992 and I have lifted obese people (many times) before without incident. saying this to update my question. you guys have always been helpful (only 2 posts) and thank you very much. Steve

Hello

Well i have a vision waiver, i had to go get my CDL DOT Phyical. Then needed a vision waiver, I live in Maryland, I contacted the Maryland Motor Administration and they sent me all paper work i needed and filled out and sent it back to them.. Having the vision waiver is rough, It only allows me to drive in state, I live about 1/2 from PA and West Virgina... I havent been able to find a job yet..

Maryland.. The Tri-state

Ryan
