Default Accident

I start school Tuesday. I had a DUI in 1985. Clean as a baby since, until December. I rear ended a car at maybe 2 miles and hour. No tickets. No damage. I mean zero dollar damage but an accident report was filed. Am I screwed?

no, i do not think so. make sure you KEEP ALL the paperwork about this accident. and KEEP IT for a LONG TIME...........

when it does come time to apply for a job from the school you WILL BE ASKED if you had any accidents, and on this, since it was recorded, you MUST answer truthfully.

being such a minor fender-dinger shouldn't be of no consequence.

BUT FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, YOU HAD BETTER TREAT YOUR LICENSE AND RECORD LIKE GOLD..........!!!

I'm unfamiliar with vehicular Laws in Illinois however considering there was NO TICKET therefore NO COURT hassle, I personally would NOT MENTION IT. Also since there was NO DAMAGE, there is really nothing to talk about, so in essence IT NEVER HAPPENED.

I had a City Kitty back into me (in my 4-wheeler) one time in a parking lot despite me using the horn and flashing my headlights.
There was NO DAMAGE. I didn't pursue it nor did he therefore IT NEVER HAPPENED.
---
I had a Rear-End (CMV into a 4-wheeler) deal in '03 here in NC and one of the large trucking companies recently refused me for it even though no other company had a problem with it.
I had a DUI in '91 (and it is still on my driving record), so yours being 6 years older is really irrelevant regardless of it being on your driving record.
---
The DUI you may still need to mention yet the other doesn't exist.

i hold an IL CDL.

fender bender.....dont worry about it

DUI....24 yrs ago shouldnt be a big deal, it won't prohibit you from getting a cdl, but some companies might not like that. just dont lie on applications they do a FULL mvr record. just be honest in the interview

good luck

I doubt it. Since there is no dollar amont connected to it even your insurance co. won't file a report with motor vehicles. Sounds like you are good to go from what I read. Best of luck!
