| | Stricter Physical Regs. a/o Now
I just got the new Physical regs. from OOIDA.
My CDL Expires in 2011, but the Concentra Industrial Clinic here in Atlanta said because I have blockages in my aorta, they could no longer Certify my health, for a Health Card, just over a year ago. My I.C.C. ticket Expired last April.
Now I read these new Regs., and how this is going to effect States that only Required a Driver Certify his health, no Medical Exam Required.
Check your card, one of the things Obama has promised is the digitalization of medical records.
For us, that means if it's bad in one, it's bad in all...

There are going to be lots of drivers who won't pass these new phyicals. Trucking is nothing but more invasions on our privacy each and every year.

I downloaded the entire 39 pages of new writ, after I found them. If anybody wants the link, email me, it's pretty comprehensive to those that have had the complete physical for Permitted Loads.
PS: I went from Local Union to Management and Back, then to Employee Owned for anybody that follows.

Trucking is quickly approaching a Military Operation only because these will be the ONLY people that will qualify.
I see this happening within 5 years.
Just a Conspiracy Theory.
NWO or New World Order:
Eliminate the sick, diseased, crippled and other Beings not suitable because of continued upgrades to the truck driver qualifications (or TDQs) and initiate some Executive Order to enforce emergency provisions designed decades ago in order to perfect and protect Trucking and keep these vehicles out the hands of less qualified operatives.
--- With all the restrictions in place NOW (NO parking, NO idling, NO traveling on these routes, NO this, NO that, etc.) and the ones yet to be implemented, Trucking is quickly becoming a non option for employment.

More and more regulations as the nanny-state exerts its power on us while wages are falling.
I'm good to go healthwise, unless they start disqualifying for high-cholesterol, then I am toast as I run 280 or 290 all the time, with no heart or high blood pressure problems at all in my family history, ever.
Those statin medications for COL caused muscle problems, so I cant take them either.
BTW, I wonder what would happen if they ever banned tobbaco use by drivers? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
