Question Cardinal Logistics

Anyone have any info on Cardinal Logistics as a company driver? I seen posts on TB from last year about being an independent contractor for them, but nothing about company drivers. Any info would be great!

I take it you are not talking about Cardinal Logistics (NZ) because out here they are a real Mickey Duck outfit to work for.

What type of account? Lucky13(he posts in the Foodservice drivers fourm) works for them. I left my last company(same as his) before Cardnial took over. He seems to like them.

Not too sure yet what type account. Me and the Mrs are getting tired of ol man winter and looking to move southeast. I stumbled upon their website and see all the "home daily jobs" Thanks for the reply!

the Cardinal Logistics "up here" has several accounts which include, Home Depot for one. please DO NOT FORGET that this is a company that bids on contracts. i personally have worked for two seperate companies that lost the accounts to lower bids. this also translates to lower wages for the drivers, more so for the new ones being hired on. then they "mess with" the older drivers. and by the way, from what i was involved with, you might be paid a set salary, and pay raises only on a yearly basis, and the benefits can be a crap shoot too, as to the coverages YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR.

so you might be able to work for them, but if they lose the account you're on, they will give you some choices....

go into the system..

go to another account..

go look for another job..

things being the way they are now, if they lose any contracts, its probably because the customer goes out of business first.

yep, its the same Cardinal ........(OTR) company...

Cardinal Logistics - Dedicated, Delivery, Logistics, Warehousing
Prodriver hit the nail on the head. Contracts are bid on every three years(or five) years. Cardnial has a rep of UNDER BIDDING the current company that handles the account or showing that they can do it cheaper then the company can(private carrier). As for pay and benifits, the pay might not always be lower, just depends but the benifits from what I have been told are crap.

I work for a dedicated contract carrier. Kinda like Cardnial. I will say though that our pay and benifits are good and the accounts treat us like on of thier own.
