Default Same Old DUI Question With a Twist

Thank you So Much. Here are my short Questions, Please:

* Do the Trucking Companies/Insurance Companies Start The DUI Date from the date I got the DUI ticket in 2004, or when the Judge convicted me on this same DUI ticket in 2006?

* I have read where there are some Trucking Companies that will hire me after 3 years are past. Could you Please help me and share which one's would.

This is a great site with great people; thank you for being here to help.

i'm of the thinking that the date of conviction, since there had to be some sort of court date..??

prior to that, i suppose one could have had the charges dropped if it was a medical reason like diabetic problems that appear to be under the influence.

Not too sure on this either, but i would think it would be from conviction date as that was when you were proven guilty of the DUI charge.

Thank you for your answers. I would really like like to really know because I want to make sure because I don't want to pay for a school then they tell me I have to wait. I'd rather wait, then attend.

If they go by the conviction, then I can attend at the end of 2009 for a company that will hire after 3 years. Again, thanks for your help.

this I CAN understand..............however..........

the prices of the schooling will only INCREASE not decrease. so, i'd at least get the price, then ask if there is a "cut-off date" for that price.......

if they say its good for only 6 months, then you pretty much are going to know, there WILL BE an increase.

even though financial aid MAY BE available to you, think too that with the credit crunch, you MAY NOT qualify for a student loan. you WILL NOT be guaranteed a loan. just the chance to apply for one.

ALL beginning of time waiting periods are as of the CONVICTION DATE.
The Charge date is irrelevant and merely part of the process towards the conviction or acquittal date. this is verified by asking any Attorney/Lawyer.

3 years is the LEAST amount of time required to wait where the average time is 5-7 years before applying to ANY Trucking Freight Company.
As the restrictions/requirements grow ever tighter, expect waiting times to increase and denial reasons as well.

DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY on Driving School for it will not do you any good for quite a while.

My one question is:
Why so long from charge to conviction??
Most court cases do not take such time for completion unless there were/are additional/extenuating conditions. My last DUI/DWI was processed within 3 months in '91.
