Any success on getting out of Trucking

Just wondering if anybody went on to do something else and had success.
Been truckin for 14 years and thinkin about gettin out, going into HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

i thought i heard that schooling for heavy equipment operators can be as much as $10,000...??

you could try doing yardman duties, or getting into a Safety Dept type of job. i tried leaving the industry once, but the paychecks were absolutely lousey compared to driving. so i'm staying in it till i retire, which ain't too many more years now.

i think it helps if someone has a "fall-back" occupation they either once did, or is young enough to go back to school again, and start from the bottom, again.....
