Default Quick CPM question

I just ask this as I have always been paid hourly or percentage. When a big company such as conway or celadon says they pay .35 cents per mile is that generally for all dispatched miles or only loaded miles? If it is loaded only do you get anything for dead head miles between loads?

CPM is a crock unless you are in a linehaul situation and you get paid hub (all miles). Most companies will pay zip code to zip code so once you are off the highway and in the local streets you are rolling for free. Some companies will pay the same for loaded or empty miles, others will pay you less for empty miles. You will NOT be paid for deadhead miles.
