I've heard there is big money to be made applying for overseas/war zone trucking jobs. I have scoured the web and can't find any info. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, I've been told hauling military equipment pays well. Anyone know how to get one of those gigs? Any pointed info would be greatly appreciated.

KBR - About KBR is the only one I know of. Its tax free, but long hours and poor conditions. It isn't as much as you would think when you figure out the hours.

as of this day, yes. a co-worker of mine has gone through some of the physical and background tests. he still has some more he has told me.

the money is good, but as stated earlier, the time, hours, etc, aren't short. you will work long hours, and then, hope and pray to your God, your butt doesn't literally, get blown up..........

I checked into it a few years ago and the pay was 85,000 for a minimum of 12 hour days, 7 days a week. You're unarmed and are not allowed to have a weapon ,at least not a gun. There's a video on YouTube (search KBR ambush) that may make you think twice. There have been many contractors killed and injured over there. Personnally I concluded the pay wasn't worth the risk. Maybe, if I coulda' had an automatic weapon.

thanks guys. I checked the KBR website and didn't find any posting for truck drivers in middle east or africa. Maybe I'm not finding it on the site. Anyone know about how to get military hauls?

You can make that much in a year working here. Why would you go to Iraq unless it paid about $200,000 a year?
