USA Truck or PAM-Anyone know anything about them

I have a buddy of mine who wants to get his CDL and is all taken in by this offer for free CDL trianing. Now the catch is he will have to work for either USA Truck or PAM. Now I know nothing about either company and really cannot offer him any advice towards this whole program. Anyone out there have anything they can share, good or bad ? I really do not think he is gonna like being out for 2 or 3 weeks. He said they wont keep him out longer than 2 weeks and I just have an idea that may not be the whole truth.
