Red face Have CDL, NO Experience, Need a JOB...Pls HELP

Hello,
Well, I recently went through CDL training at Swift, I know,I've heard the horror stories. But I did get my Class A license. I was supposed to go out on the road with a mentor after orientation, but they pushed it back and ended up canceling until at least March. Does anybody have any ideas or know any companies that will hire without experience and without going through CDL training again.

Signed,
Holding a shiny new CDL with no place to go.

trucking is not in very good shape now, many companies on layoff or hiring freeze. Until the economy starts to p/u or some companies fail it will be tough to get a job. don't loose hope though, hit the internet up, even if there is no listing for jobs, keep applying at every company in your area or that you know of. Sometimes you just get lucky.

I just finished CDL school yesterday. I had my application at Werner accepted about a week ago. Two other students in my class got called by Werner yesterday while we were testing. They start orientation two days after I do. Well, one of them will for sure, the other one failed the driving test, but he'll probably get it squared away before he's due in Atlanta. Anyway, as of yesterday afternoon (Thur. the 29th), Werner was still hiring drivers with only school under their belts. Also, the day that I put in my application with Werner, one of their recruiters visited the school and said that he had been assured that no hiring freezes were in the works. Coulda been just a sales pitch, but still, they hired two more yesterday. Might be worth a try.

Well I'm an experienced CDL holder (5 yrs+) and I'm having loads of fun trying to secure a position (job) with a Freight Trucking Company.

Some Truck Companies are not replacing those drivers that are quitting because Freight is slack.

I hope the BEST for You and Yours!!
