Someone please hel- Freightliner M2 question

They say the only dumb question is the one not asked...this will test that theory.

Im taking my CDL class B's next week in a buddys 2006 M2 with the MB engine and easton transmission. In preparing for the pre-trip, I realized the only thing I could not locate was the air compressor, and I cant find any help in freightliners literature. Can someone please tell me where the main air compressor would be located?

Left front side of the Engine, generally on Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Volvo.
It is Gear driven as it is attached to the side of the engine.
The belt is just for other purposes.
The Air Lines usually run along the Frame and the Air Governor is either incorporated with the Air Compressor or attached to the Firewall.

I was unable as well to locate a picture or two of the engine.

I think on that engine, you will find that the air compressor is driven off the flywheel. See the pictures at Mercedes Diesel Engines.com
