 LTL companies and autoshifters?
Hello all,
I'm wondering if any of the major LTL companies use autoshifter/automatic transmissions. I'm thinking of trying to work for a freight company but the only thing that would get in my way is that I've never drove a stick shift tractor. I got my CDL from Pepsi-Americas and I left them and went to Reinhart Foodservice, and they both are buying all autoshifters for their fleets.
We still have a few dozen 10 speed tractors at Reinhart, but the transportation management wont let anybody learn on them because they dont want to damage them. |
