Since I logged onto the site. Things are pretty rough for a lot of you, and I pray that things get better in the near future.
Things didn't go as well as me and the wife planned with trucking. However, that doesn't mean that I'm ticked off and forgot about those of you who lended your support while I was learning. Besides, my mother always told me that when one door closes, another opens. I'm in law enforcement now, the wife is a manager, and things are a little smoother now. I'm still hardly at home, but now I know when I'll be there and when I'm leaving again.
You guys be safe out there.

You guys be safe out there. | too bad things didn't work out. trucking can be hard in either venue someone pursue's, whether it be O/O or company driver.
at least (hopefully) you both still have you CDL's, and if so, hold onto them, and maybe at least drop the hazmat (if you both had that). at least sometime in the future, if a "part-time" truck driving job comes up, you might get the "urge" to at least do a run or two. that CDL license cost you a few bucks, so for now, do not turn it in (unless you already have done so).
come here and "talk" with us as often as you can.
till then, the very best wishes and luck to you and the Mrs.

I still have the urge from time to time, and there are opportunities within my department for someone with a CDL. The HAZMAT is going to be dropped along with my tanker endorsement.

Thanks man and good luck in your new career. And if you ever see my ugly mug come thru there, have pity for me and let me go. |

You'll be doing hard time in a small cell waiting for me to pass your mail out or let you out briefly to eat/shower. Let's hope and pray that no one on this board ever is negligent enough to kill someone behind the wheel. I'd hate to see any of you come and stay a while where I work, ugly or not.
